I am currently recruiting for a maintenance supervisor for a UK leading Facilities Management provider for one of their client\'s sites in the Reading area. This is a temp to perm role with an immediate start for the right candidate.
This role is working on a site for an technology client on a temp to perm basis in the Reading area you will be required to work Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm with the occasional out of hour\'s maintenance needing to be overseen and completed. As a maintenance supervisor you will be responsible for overseeing 3 Electricians and 2 Fabric engineers. Your work balance will be 50/50 on the tools and office based. Maintaining all electrical and fabric maintenance on-site whilst overseeing the engineers work ensuring Health and Safety standards are met.
To oversee the delegation & management of jobs to engineering staff.
Working with the help desk and CAFM system on a daily basis to manage, prioritise & assign mechanical and electrical job order
Liaise with the contract manager and client management to review on-going and outstanding job orders.
Ensuring parts and materials are replenished as necessary, for all new and existing plant
To lead, motivate, and provide direction to the engineering team within their area of control
To ensure contract targets are maintained and 100% statutory compliance is achieved.
To ensure effective supervision of and communication with staff and ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures
To effectively manage people, material and 3rd party resources to maintain effective control for both maintenance and remedial works as necessary
To produce accurate and timely reports and information as required by the contract manager
To ensure compliance with statutory, corporate and technical requirements.
Act as the technical specialist for engineering queries / challenges and support the team with day to day maintenance duties.
You will have worked as a maintenance supervisor on a corporate site previously
You\'ll already have some experience of overseeing a small team on-site, whether that be as a lead engineer or a supervisor
You\'ll be personable, proactive and extremely client focussed. If you don\'t know the answer to something then you\'ll be happy to ask you colleagues or go and find out.
You\'ll be experienced with dealing face to face with your clients and providing them with the best service
You will have strong man management and leadership skills
You will have extensive Health and Safety knowledge and ensure you and your team are compliant within the on-site Health and Safety officer.
You must have 17th Edition and City & Guilds Installation Level 3
Having FGAS Would be an advantage in order to service split units.
