Mechanical Operations Manager

North Yorkshire, £50/55k

THE ROLE:

To be a key driver of the Company\'s mechanical business to establish a national service offering.

Co-ordinate and manage the engineering workforce and ensure that Health & Safety legislation is adhered to and operatives follow company procedure at all times.

Contribute to business growth through organic and new business.

Responsivities:

  • Manage the day-to-day running of the operation, ensuring the operation is at maximum efficiency. Ensure that all the Company\'s processes and procedures are adhered to at all times.
  • To work closely with the Divisional Director to achieve national coverage within the agreed timescales/plan.
  • Have an active role in the scheduling of the team\'s workload, to achieve the maximum utilisation of productivity whilst delivering excellent customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain regular client liaison to review overall work performance via the production of reports and client meetings where required.
  • Personally, provide a pro-active approach to customer care, ensuring this approach is delivered throughout the workforce. Ensure that all customer complaints and concerns are resolved promptly and effectively and are escalated to the Divisional Director where appropriate.
  • To contribute to the financial targets as set by the Divisional Director.
  • Provide accurate quotes and pricing for new work and contracts. Contribute to the central sales function as requested, attending client presentations/meetings where required.
  • Ensure that all new staff are inducted into the business appropriately within the Company\'s agreed timescales and that the process is recorded and documented.

THE IDEAL CANDIDIATE:

  • Relevant experience in a similar role, demonstrating a successful track record in service delivery including demonstrable competence of operational management to include scheduling, client liaison, basic financial awareness, purchasing/stock control and H&S adherence.
  • NEBOSH or IOSH trained.
  • Smart professional appearance and manner.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Full clean driving licence.
